Marital Therapy

Marital therapy (sometimes termed as couples therapy) is designed to help couples who feel that their marriage is worth to save. In this context, there is a controversy, whether the feeling is both-ended or single-ended. In addition, marital therapy also works to the extent where depression, anxiety, etc took place in relation to marital problem.

In the United States and many other countries, as per statistical report, more than 50% of all marriages now end in divorce. Moreover, the marriage rate has fallen down significantly in recent years. But one thing must be kept in mind that keeping people in joyless marriage or mutually destructive relationships is definitely not a goal of this therapy.

There are mainly two types of marital therapy - one type of behavioral marital therapy focuses on the communication problems by promoting improved communication including many ways like role-playing and real eye-opened, for example. The other type of marital therapy helps clients to gain an insight of the problem in their marital life rather than only skill training.
